Care Built for Rexburg Families

Choosing a family dentist in Rexburg means choosing someone you can rely on for years. You want honest answers, fair recommendations, and a practice that treats your whole household, from your youngest child’s first visit to grandparent implants, without sending you somewhere else. At Strobel Family Dental, Dr. Dirk Strobel and Dr. Heber Strobel have built exactly that.

A father and son team with more than 40 years of combined experience, caring for families across Rexburg, Sugar City, St. Anthony, and Burton, and patients who drive in from Rigby and Idaho Falls because they trust the care they get here.

Families stay because they feel heard, not pressured. We explain what we see, what matters now, and what can wait. Cost and insurance are discussed before treatment starts. Whether you are coming in from Newdale for a routine cleaning or calling from Island Park on a Saturday morning with a broken tooth, you will always leave with a clear plan and no surprises.

Why Families Choose Strobel Family Dental

Families choose Strobel Family Dental because they want care that feels honest and steady. Many patients tell us they left other offices after feeling pushed into treatment. Here, conversations come first. We take time to explain what we see, what matters now, and what can wait. That approach helps parents feel confident about decisions for themselves and their children.

Another reason families stay is availability when life does not go as planned. Being open on Saturdays and offering same day care makes a real difference. Families from Jolley, Burton, and Newdale appreciate not having to miss work or school. Others come from Rigby because they want a dentist who knows their name and history. Strobel Family Dental is built around long term relationships, not quick visits or one time fixes.

Restorative Dentistry in Rexburg

When a tooth is damaged, infected, or lost, restoring it quickly protects the rest of your mouth. Bone loss, shifting teeth, and chewing problems can follow a missing tooth faster than most people expect. At Strobel Family Dental, Dr. Dirk and Dr. Heber handle most restorative treatment right here in Rexburg. No referrals to an outside specialist. No driving to Idaho Falls for an implant consultation.

Every restorative plan starts with a thorough exam and an honest conversation about your options. We explain what your insurance covers, what you will pay out of pocket, and what can wait without causing a bigger problem.

Cosmetic Dentistry in Rexburg

A healthy smile is the foundation. Once your teeth and gums are in good shape, cosmetic dentistry helps you feel confident about how that smile looks. Whether you want whiter teeth, straighter alignment, or a chip repaired, the goal is natural-looking results that fit your face and hold up over time.

Every cosmetic treatment starts with a full exam. We make sure your teeth and gums are healthy before any appearance work begins. Then we walk you through what is possible, what is practical, and what fits your budget before you commit to anything.

Emergencies and Saturdays

Tooth pain rarely waits for a convenient time. Many families call us after work or when pain starts over the weekend. At Strobel Family Dental, we work hard to see patients the same day whenever possible. Being open on Saturdays helps families get relief without missing work, school, or important commitments.

Patients from Rexburg and nearby areas often tell us they found us during an emergency and decided to stay. We focus on getting you comfortable first, then explaining what caused the problem and what options make sense next. Whether the issue started suddenly or has been bothering you for a while, our goal is to help you feel better and give you a clear plan without pressure.

Insurance and Payment Options

Cost questions deserve straight answers. Strobel Family Dental works with most major dental insurance plans and PPO providers. Before treatment starts, we tell you what your plan is likely to cover and what your out-of-pocket cost will be. You know the numbers before you decide anything.

For families without insurance, we offer the Strobel Family Membership Plan. It covers your routine care and reduces costs on other treatments, with no annual deductible and no claim forms. Many of our most loyal patients use it.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve avoided the dentist for years, can I still be helped?

You won’t be judged here. We see patients all the time who have put off care for years, sometimes decades. We focus on where you are now, not where you’ve been. We’ll prioritize what matters most, explain your options clearly, and help you move forward at a pace that works for you.

What are my options if I have dental anxiety or fear of the dentist?

Dental anxiety is very common, and modern dental practices offer several options to help you feel calm and in control. Many offices focus on a gentle approach that includes clear communication, slower pacing, and explaining each step before it happens. Knowing what to expect often reduces fear significantly.

Depending on your comfort level, options may include topical numbing, stronger local anesthesia, oral sedation, or other relaxation techniques. Some patients also benefit from noise-canceling headphones, calming music, or taking breaks during treatment. The most important step is letting the dental team know about your anxiety so care can be tailored to your needs.

Do you see patients on Saturdays?

Yes. We are open Saturday from 7AM to 1PM. Saturday appointments fill up, so if you need a weekend visit, call ahead. We also hold space for same-day emergencies during the week and on Saturdays when possible.

Can you handle a dental emergency on short notice?

We do our best to see emergency patients the same day. Tooth pain, broken teeth, and lost restorations are situations we prioritize. If you’re in pain, call us first thing in the morning and we’ll find a way to get you in, including on Saturdays.

What should I expect during my first dental visit?

our first visit starts with a conversation, not a sales pitch. We review your dental history, take any needed x-rays, and do a thorough exam. Then we walk you through what we found in plain language: what needs attention now, what can wait, and what each option costs. You leave with a clear plan and no surprises.

Can I bring my whole family to one appointment?

Yes. We see patients of every age in one office, from toddlers getting their first exam to grandparents needing implants. Many families schedule everyone on the same day so they make one trip. Call us and we will do our best to get the whole household in together.

How much will treatment cost and what does insurance cover?

We work with most major dental insurance plans and PPOs. Before any treatment starts, we explain what your plan is likely to cover and what your out-of-pocket portion will be. For families without insurance, we offer a membership plan that covers routine care and reduces costs on other services. No surprises before we start.

Do you only serve families in Rexburg?

Strobel Family Dental primarily serves families in Rexburg, Idaho, along with nearby neighborhoods like Jolley, Burton, Newdale, and surrounding areas. Many patients also travel from Rigby, Idaho Falls, Saint Anthony, and Island Park because they value long-term care and Saturday availability. If you are looking for a family dentist you can stay with, distance is often less important than trust and consistency.

The information on this page is provided to help you understand general dental care and the preventive services we offer. It’s not a substitute for professional diagnosis or individualized treatment. Every patient’s needs are different, and your dentist will evaluate your oral health before recommending any specific care or procedure.
